You’re seriously craving a BLT with double bacon and a side of coleslaw… but you can’t bear to peel yourself away from the last season of your favorite show. What’s a hungry guy or gal to do?

Your apartment is a place where you and your roommate can relax and get away from the chaos of the world… usually. Great practical jokes aren’t just for April Fool’s Day! Try these hilarious (but harmless) pranks on your unsuspecting roommate for some guaranteed ROFLs and LOLs.

We’ve all heard the term “wear and tear” when it comes to the typical nicks and scratches even the most careful apartment renter causes. But what separates normal “wear and tear” from damages you’re expected to pay for out of your security deposit?

Maybe your dog just couldn’t hold it any longer, or there’s a remnant of that green beer from St. Patrick’s Day decorating your living room carpet. Or, perhaps a splash of red wine escaped from your glass. Sound familiar?

Solving EquationWhy US Millennials, Baby Boomers Choose the Apartment Lifestyle

More Americans, of every age and economic bracket, are choosing to live in apartments. They love the convenient, affordable lifestyle that apartments offer much more than the burdens and expenses of home ownership. Baby boomers – typically empty-nesters – and Millennials, those between 18 and 34 years old, are two of the biggest demographic groups renting apartments now, said Angela Sweet, Director of Destination Services for CORT.

ApartmentsAn apartment is more than just a cost-effective housing option. It is more than what people who cannot afford to purchase a home rely on. It is more than just a place to call home during college or an extended business relocation. An apartment is a reflection of you – it is your home. It is the place that you have chosen to live because of the amenities and lifestyle it provides you.

Apartments Offer Variety

There are hundreds – if not thousands – of different options that you can choose from that make an apartment more than just four walls. If you want a view of nature, such as trees or a lake, there are apartments for you. If you need or want to live in the ground floor, there are a myriad of apartment homes available to you. If you prefer to live on the top floor of a building in order to cut down the noise and have a great view, you can have that. If you want to live in a community that has complimentary tennis courts, they are out there. The options for the place you will call home are virtually endless.

Summer Pet CareNow that summer has officially started, we can look forward to pool parties, barbeques, and all the other festivities that come with season. While we spend long days in the sunny outdoors with furry friends, it’s important to remember hot temperatures mean different pet care practices. Here are a few of major pet considerations:

Keep Pets Hydrated

Hot temperatures can cause pets to get dehydrated very quickly. In order to avoid dehydration, make sure all outdoor pets have plenty of fresh, clean water. It’s also important to ensure there is plenty of shade so your pets can get out of the sun during especially hot days. Additionally, be careful of overheating your pet through excessive exercise outside.

Apartment LivingWhat do you love about living in your apartment? Many of us love where we live because of its great location near our jobs, schools, family and friends. Many of us love our apartment because it is our home, where we enjoy our free time and create memories with our family and friends. Many of us love our apartment because of the community in which we live, from the great neighbors to the large pool to the friendly leasing staff.

While there are many obvious benefits of living in apartments, some of the greatest side perks are less well known.
