Want a few other exercise options that don’t require a wi-fi connection? Willing to venture outdoors? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Use the stairs. Set a goal and run a certain number of flights as sprints. Want lower impact? Walking them will still burn plenty of cals.
- Swim a lap. If you are going to head outdoors, swim laps when it’s least busy. Even treading water is a significant way to work up a sweat.
- Walk, run, or jog around your complex or neighborhood. It’s a great way to explore a new place…just don’t get lost.
- Invest in a bike and ride it to places that you’d normally drive; it’s a workout and vehicle in one.
- Spend time with your furry friend. What a “ruff” exercise! If you’re a dog owner, take your pup for a walk. An active pup is a happy pup.
If you’ve gone through this list and just can’t live without an elliptical or a treadmill that includes watching reality television…it’s alright. We’ve all been there.
